Jordan Burroughs discusses technical rivals and wrestling style
Olympic and six-time world champion wrestler Jordan Burroughs discussed his career and rivals in a recent interview with Izvestia Russia. Burroughs, who is set to compete in Moscow for the RAF organization, identified Zaurbek Sidakov as the most technical opponent he has ever faced, noting Sidakov’s exceptional endurance and ability to execute techniques with perfect precision.
Burroughs also reflected on his wrestling style compared to the legendary Buvaisar Saitiev. While describing Saitiev as a genius whose movements were like art, Burroughs attributed his own success to hard work, discipline, and perseverance rather than flashy or complex maneuvers. He expressed mutual respect for Sidakov, acknowledging the difficulty of maintaining peak performance as an athlete ages.
