Jordan bus accident kills five and injures 18 conscripts

A fatal traffic accident occurred on the Desert Highway in the Al-Abaid area of the Karak governorate when a civilian bus carrying national service conscripts collided with a truck. The crash resulted in the deaths of four conscripts and the bus driver.

Eighteen conscripts were injured in the collision, with sixteen sustaining moderate injuries and two reported to be in serious condition. The injured were transported to various medical facilities, including Prince Ali bin Al Hussein Military Hospital, Karak Government Hospital, Tafila Government Hospital, and King Hussein Medical Center.

Following royal directives, Yousef Al-Issawi, Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court, visited the injured in the hospitals to monitor their medical care. He conveyed the well-wishes for a speedy recovery from King Abdullah II and Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, while expressing condolences to the families of the deceased.
