Jordan Cox replaces injured Jamie Smith as England wicketkeeper

During the third Test match between England and Pakistan at Edgbaston, England wicketkeeper-batsman Jamie Smith was ruled out of wicketkeeping duties for the second innings due to a left-hand finger injury. The injury occurred on the first day when Smith took a blow to his finger while collecting a delivery from Ollie Robinson while standing up to the stumps.

Despite the injury, Smith continued to bat at number seven, scoring 69 runs off 84 balls. Jordan Cox took over the wicketkeeping responsibilities for the start of Pakistan's second innings. Cox, who has limited first-class experience behind the stumps, has been training with assistant coach Sarah Taylor.
