The second edition of the Jordan FinTech Festival 2026 opened at the King Hussein Bin Talal Conference Center in the Dead Sea region. Organized by the Central Bank of Jordan in partnership with the Jordan Banks Association and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the event brought together over 3,000 participants from more than 40 countries.

Central Bank Governor Adel Sharkas emphasized Jordan's ambition to become a regional hub for financial technology and innovation. He noted that digital transformation is a core pillar of the country's Economic Modernization Vision 2023–2033. Sharkas highlighted the rapid growth of digital payments in Jordan, stating that electronic payment transactions in 2025 reached approximately 700 million operations, totaling roughly 50 billion dinars, which represents about 118 percent of the national GDP.
