Jordan National Olive Festival to announce participants next week

Abdullah Al-Qudah, director of the 26th National Olive Festival and Rural Products Exhibition, announced that participant names will be released early next week via text message. This follows the completion of the selection and evaluation process by an expanded committee, which was enlarged to handle a significant increase in applications compared to previous years.

The upcoming festival will focus on olive oil, olive products, and rural goods to accommodate an expected increase in national olive production. The event aims to provide a marketing platform that connects farmers and producers directly with consumers.

Special emphasis will be placed on supporting small-scale olive farmers across the Kingdom to improve their incomes and ensure the sustainability of their projects. New regulatory measures have been implemented to ensure product quality, safety, and transparency. Selection criteria included health, social, economic, and production standards, with consideration given to family circumstances, persons with disabilities, and beneficiaries of national aid programs.
