Jordan Pickford pleads guilty to careless driving in Lamborghini

England and Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has pleaded guilty to driving without due care or attention following an incident in Knutsford, Cheshire. On April 14, Pickford was driving a blue Lamborghini Urus when he reportedly ignored a give-way sign at the junction of Princess Street and Toft Road. The maneuver forced two other vehicles to brake sharply to avoid a collision.

Following the incident, Pickford attempted to speed away from the scene. A Cheshire Police officer, PC Cecil Ricardo, pursued the vehicle with emergency lights and sirens activated. While the officer was traveling at 50mph in a 30mph zone, the Lamborghini continued to pull away. Pickford eventually pulled over after noticing the police pursuit.

Pickford submitted his guilty plea through the Single Justice Procedure but has requested to appear personally at Chester Magistrates’ Court on December 7 to present mitigation. He faces potential penalties including a significant fine and between three to nine penalty points on his driving license, or a potential driving ban.
