Jordan promotes diverse tourism destinations and UNESCO sites

Jordan is actively promoting its tourism sector to international markets, including North America and India, highlighting the country's diverse landscapes and cultural heritage. Tourism officials emphasize that the industry is operating normally and remains a safe destination for global travelers.

Key attractions being promoted include the ancient city of Petra, the desert landscapes of Wadi Rum, and the capital city of Amman. The Aqaba Marine Reserve was recently added to the UNESCO World Heritage List, recognizing its significance as a climate-resilient marine ecosystem. This designation complements Jordan's existing collection of UNESCO sites, ranging from archaeological wonders to Red Sea coral reefs.

To facilitate easier access, Royal Jordanian and its partners are expanding flight services from North American gateways such as Toronto and Montreal. Travel initiatives like ExploRJordan are encouraging visitors to combine coastal relaxation in Aqaba with desert adventures and historical exploration.
