Jordan Rakei releases new single ‘Promise’ ahead of upcoming album
Musician Jordan Rakei has released ‘Promise’, the second single from his upcoming seventh studio album, ‘A Safe Place To Be Wild’. The album is scheduled for release on October 30 via Fontana.
‘Promise’ explores themes of insecurity and doubt within relationships, while maintaining a sense of hope. Rakei noted that portions of the song were written over a decade ago in collaboration with Rosie Lowe. The track features soft keyboards and crisp drums, contrasting with the more defiant psych-soul sound of his previous preview single, ‘Enemies’.
The upcoming album was recorded at Abbey Road Studios, where Rakei served as the inaugural Artist In Residence. The project is described as an intimate exploration of vulnerability, self-acceptance, and creative freedom. To support the release, Rakei is planning his largest tour to date across the United Kingdom and Europe, which is set to conclude with a major concert at London’s Alexandra Palace on April 24, 2027.
