Jordan Spieth and Keith Mitchell miss FedEx Cup playoff cutoff

Jordan Spieth and Keith Mitchell have been eliminated from the FedEx Cup postseason following the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind. Both players failed to secure a position within the top 50 in the points standings, which is required to advance to the BMW Championship.

Spieth entered the tournament ranked 54th and required a top-10 finish to secure his advancement. Despite a strong start, bogeys on the 11th and 12th holes, followed by a drive into the water on the 15th, left him finishing tied for 19th. He ended the week at 4 under par, placing him 52nd in the standings.

Keith Mitchell also missed the cutoff, finishing 51st in the points standings. Mitchell struggled on the final holes, including a bogey on the 18th after his shot landed in the water, leaving him approximately 7.8 points short of the required threshold to reach the next playoff event.
