Jordan Veretout reflects on AS Roma tenure and move to Marseille

Former AS Roma midfielder Jordan Veretout has reflected on his three-year tenure with the Italian club, which spanned from 2019 to 2022. In a recent interview, Veretout expressed his affection for the city and the club, noting that winning the Conference League made his departure difficult.

Veretout explained that his move to Olympique de Marseille was motivated by the desire to return to France and the opportunity to join a major club. He also addressed his relationship with former Roma manager José Mourinho, stating they maintained a good connection despite discussions regarding a contract renewal that ultimately did not reach an agreement.
