Jordan weather warnings issued for heavy thunderstorms and flash floods

Jordan is experiencing a period of atmospheric instability that is expected to intensify throughout the week. While Monday features moderate temperatures with scattered evening showers, particularly in the south, the weather is projected to peak on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, heavy thunderstorms are expected across various parts of the country, including Aqaba and the Dead Sea area. These storms may bring lightning, thunder, and hail. Forecasters have issued warnings regarding the potential for flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas due to heavy rainfall during the evening and night.

Dusty winds may reduce horizontal visibility, especially in desert regions, and fog is expected in high mountainous areas during early morning hours. Conditions are expected to stabilize by Wednesday and Thursday, with milder temperatures and lighter rain showers limited to specific eastern and northern regions.
