Jordanian air defenses intercept eight missiles in national airspace

The Jordanian Armed Forces announced on Monday morning that its air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed eight missiles that penetrated the Kingdom’s airspace. Military officials stated that the missiles were handled according to precise operational estimates and were destroyed before reaching their targets, preventing any threat to lives or property.

The interception occurred amid heightened regional tensions following claims by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard that it launched ballistic missiles and drones targeting regional facilities, including the King Hussein and Azraq air bases. These actions were reportedly in response to previous strikes on Iranian sites.

Jordanian military leadership emphasized that all formations remain at high readiness to protect national sovereignty and borders. The military confirmed that the interceptions took place in unpopulated areas, resulting in no injuries or material damage from falling debris.
