Jordanian Foreign Minister holds talks with Qatari and Montenegrin officials
Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi, held separate meetings with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and Montenegrin Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Ivić, to discuss regional stability and bilateral cooperation.
In discussions with the Qatari leadership, officials addressed efforts to de-escalate regional tensions and ensure maritime freedom in the Strait of Hormuz. They emphasized the need to stop Israeli actions in the West Bank that undermine the two-state solution and called for the full implementation of the U.S. plan to stabilize Gaza and ensure sufficient humanitarian aid reaches the territory.
During talks with Montenegro, Safadi and Ivić focused on expanding economic, investment, and tourism cooperation. The two nations signed their first bilateral agreements since establishing diplomatic relations in 2010, including a visa waiver for diplomatic and service passport holders and a memorandum of understanding between the Montenegrin Foreign Ministry and the Jordanian Diplomatic Institute. Both parties also expressed support for the two-state solution and discussed regional security.
