Jordanian Prime Minister addresses terrorist attack in Karak

Jordanian Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan addressed the Cabinet to honor the nine citizens killed during a terrorist attack in the Karak governorate last Friday. Hassan emphasized that the attack is not merely a security issue but a “battle of awareness and thought,” calling for a comprehensive societal and intellectual struggle to eradicate extremist ideologies. He stressed that maintaining social cohesion, diversity, and openness is essential to protecting the Kingdom’s stability against attempts to sow division.

In a related development, the Minister of Public Works and Housing, Maher Abu Al-Samen, held a meeting with provincial directors to increase readiness for the upcoming winter season. The meeting also began with a tribute to the victims of the Karak attack, highlighting the need for national unity in the face of threats to Jordan’s security.
