FC Barcelona youth talents impress Hansi Flick in pre-season

FC Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick is integrating several young talents into the first team during the club's pre-season preparations.

Seventeen-year-old defender Jordi Bescos (also referred to as Jordi Pesquer) has emerged as a surprise prospect. Having previously played for the Juvenil B level, Bescos has impressed Flick during training and friendly matches, including a triangular tournament in Udine. His performances against opponents like Nottingham Forest winger Ola Aina have reportedly showcased maturity and tactical patience, potentially securing him a longer stay with the senior squad due to vacancies at the left-back position.

Additionally, 18-year-old Belgian winger Jesse Bisiwu made his debut for the club in a friendly against Udinese. Despite facing criticism on social media following his appearance, Hansi Flick expressed positive views of Bisiwu's performance. Flick specifically valued the winger's audacity, mobility with the ball, and ability to attack spaces, while noting that the player still has significant room for growth.
