Jordi Sendra selected as Junts per Catalunya mayoral candidate for Tarragona 2027 elections

Jordi Sendra was confirmed as the sole candidate to lead Junts per Catalunya's list in Tarragona for the 2027 municipal elections. After months of internal deliberation and a vote by the party's local militants, he became the first candidate from the former Convergència space to repeat a candidacy in the city.

Sendra pledged to build on the opposition's work in the council, promising to advance projects on the port, heritage, neighborhoods and youth, and to position Tarragona as a strong, independent city. He succeeds Joan Miquel Nadal as the party's mayoral frontrunner.
