Jordi Sanchez transfers from Wisła Kraków to Pogoń Szczecin

Jordi Sanchez has officially transferred from Wisła Kraków to Pogoń Szczecin. Pogoń Szczecin activated a release clause in the Spanish striker's contract, with the total transaction estimated at approximately 400,000 euros. Sanchez, who was the leading scorer in the Ekstraklasa at the time of the move with six goals in seven matches, has signed a contract through June 2028, with an option for an additional twelve months.

The transfer has caused significant discussion within the league, involving public disagreements between the management of both clubs. Wisła Kraków expressed difficulty in retaining the player despite efforts to do so. Following his departure, Wisła Kraków has not yet committed to signing a new striker, with expectations that existing players like Angel Rodado will fill the void.

In separate transfer news, Lechia Gdańsk has signed 20-year-old Colombian winger Javier Mena on a long-term contract lasting until June 30, 2031. Javier joins his brother, Camilo Mena, who is already at the club.
