Jordon Butts joins Western Bulldogs from Adelaide Crows

Jordon Butts has confirmed his move from the Adelaide Crows to the Western Bulldogs as an unrestricted free agent. The 26-year-old defender, who played 94 games over eight seasons with Adelaide, is reportedly signing a five-year deal.

As part of the transaction, the Adelaide Crows will receive band three compensation, which grants them an additional second-round draft pick (currently pick 33). The move provides Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge with a key defender to bolster his roster alongside James O’Donnell and Buku Khamis.

The compensation outcome for Adelaide follows the AFL's announcement of several free-agency moves, including Toby Greene and Lachie Neale, both of whom also triggered band three compensation.
