Jordyn Tyson remains sidelined with hamstring injury

New Orleans Saints rookie wide receiver Jordyn Tyson remains sidelined with a right hamstring injury. The No. 8 overall pick from Arizona State, who was placed on injured reserve before the season, is reportedly still ‘weeks away’ from returning to action.

While Tyson has been seen performing individual drills, such as sprinting and working on stopping and starting, he has not yet participated in team action. Although he became eligible to return as early as Week 5, sources indicate a return is unlikely in the immediate future. A potential return could be targeted for Week 7 or even Week 9, following the Saints’ Week 8 bye, to ensure he is fully recovered and able to play without limitations.

Saints head coach Kellen Moore stated that the team is being intentionally deliberate with Tyson’s recovery, noting that the player is currently focused on rehabilitation with the training staff.
