Jorge Alberto Trejo Chávez appointed acting director of IEBEM

Karla Aline Herrera Alonso, the Secretary of Education, has appointed Jorge Alberto Trejo Chávez as the acting director of the Institute of Basic Education of the State of Morelos (IEBEM). Trejo Chávez, a public accountant with 28 years of public service experience, was introduced during an event attended by state legislators and representatives from the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE).

Following his appointment, Trejo Chávez met with teaching staff to address grievances regarding a 20-point reduction in certain metrics. The IEBEM has agreed to support the teachers' request for a formal review by the competent federal authorities and pledged to ensure that participating educators do not face administrative repercussions at their workplaces for attending these meetings. The Institute emphasized its commitment to dialogue, legality, and transparency in resolving these professional development issues.
