Jorge Azcón expresses preference for in-person voting

Jorge Azcón, the President of Aragon and leader of the regional Partido Popular, has stated that his children, who study outside the region, will travel to Zaragoza to vote in person during the upcoming general elections on November 29. While acknowledging that they could use the postal voting system, Azcón emphasized his personal preference for in-person voting at the ballot box.

Azcón’s comments follow similar remarks by Madrid President Isabel Díaz Ayuso, who advised citizens against using postal voting. In response to these concerns, the national spokesperson for the Partido Popular, Borja Sémper, defended the integrity of the Spanish electoral system. Sémper stated that the postal voting process is “garantista” (guaranteed) and subject to strict controls monitored by the Central Electoral Board.
