Jorge Barón receives Civil Merit Order from Bogotá Council

Television presenter, producer, and entrepreneur Jorge Barón has been awarded the Orden Civil al Mérito by the Concejo de Bogotá. The distinction recognizes his decades-long career and his contributions to Colombian culture and national identity.

During the ceremony in Bogotá, Councilman Rolando González presented the award, noting that Barón’s career is a significant part of Colombian television history. The recognition highlights Barón's role in promoting national music and providing a platform for various artists across different regions of the country.

Barón, 78, expressed his gratitude to the Council and stated his intention to continue working for the promotion of culture and artists as long as he has the health and energy to do so.
