Jorge Macri concludes U.S. mission to seek investment and promote PRO-LLA alliance

Jorge Macri, the Chief of Government of Buenos Aires, concluded an official mission to the United States focused on strengthening political ties and seeking investment for the city. Accompanied by PRO leader Cristian Ritondo and other officials, the delegation held high-level meetings in Washington D.C., including sessions at the White House with Richard Walters and discussions with U.S. State Department officials.

A central theme of the visit was the promotion of a potential political alliance between the PRO party and La Libertad Avanza (LLA) ahead of the 2027 elections. Macri noted that international political and business actors expressed support for such an agreement, viewing it as a way to provide economic and political predictability to Argentina’s current reform path.

In addition to political discussions, the mission addressed economic cooperation. The delegation met with representatives from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the U.S.-Argentina Business Council, and the President of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to discuss trade, infrastructure, and financing for strategic projects in Buenos Aires.
