Jorge Martin faces front‑tire troubles at Brno MotoGP after admitting motocross lag

MotoGP world‑championship runner‑up Jorge Martin said his front tyre was problematic during practice at the Brno Grand Prix, leaving him unable to qualify for Q2 and posting a pace significantly slower than his Aprilia teammates. He described a loss of confidence in the front, noting a gap of more than six‑tenth of a second to the leading riders and that he would have to serve two penalty laps for a start‑crash in Hungary.

Earlier, Martin revealed on a motorsport podcast that he trails Australian rider Jack Miller by three to four seconds per lap on a motocross bike, underscoring the difficulty of off‑season training on dirt tracks. The combination of tyre issues on the tarmac and a clear performance gap on the dirt highlights the challenges the Spanish rider faces as he prepares for the upcoming race.
