Jorge Martin Takes MotoGP Lead After Triple‑Podium Finish at Assen

Spanish rider Jorge Martin started from pole position at the TT Circuit Assen and finished third, moving into the MotoGP championship lead with 193 points, seven ahead of teammate Francesco Bagnaia. Italian rider Marco Bezzecchi crashed on lap two, was taken to the hospital in Groningen for assessment and released after scans showed no serious injury.

Aprilia Racing celebrated a historic weekend, with a triple‑podium finish: Martin third, Ai Ogura winning his first MotoGP race and Raúl Fernández second. The result gave Aprilia its first victory at Assen and its 308th win in the premier class. Aprilia CEO Massimo Rivola praised the team's competitiveness on fast circuits and highlighted the significance of having four Aprilia bikes on the grid and three on the podium.
