Jorge & Mateus convicted of assault and false imprisonment

The Brazilian sertanejo duo Jorge & Mateus has been convicted following allegations of assault and false imprisonment involving makeup artists Nathalia Magalhães da Silva and Pedro Henrik Meira da Silva. The incident occurred during the Festa do Peão de Americana in São Paulo.

According to court proceedings, the professionals were forced to wait in a service corridor for approximately four hours without food or water. Upon returning to the dressing room to retrieve their belongings, they discovered their equipment had been used by others. The victims alleged that Jorge's wife had used their products to apply the singers' makeup.

When Nathalia attempted to film the situation, a producer identified as Willian Pereira Clemente allegedly punched her in the wrist and forcibly took her phone. The victim further claimed she was locked in the dressing room and prevented from leaving until the Military Police arrived. A forensic medical examination subsequently confirmed physical injuries.
