Jorge Odón develops medical childbirth device in Argentina

Jorge Odón, a mechanic from Lanús, Argentina, has developed a medical device designed to assist in complicated childbirths. The invention originated from observing a technique used by his employees to extract a cork from a glass bottle using an inflated plastic bag.

Working alongside engineer Carlos Modena, Odón spent two decades developing prototypes for the device. The technology is now utilized in hospitals across Europe. Odón, who has held ten mechanical patents throughout his career, developed the idea through his long-standing experience in the automotive workshop industry.
