Jorida Tabaku criticizes Albanian economy and national security
Democratic Party Deputy Jorida Tabaku has issued sharp criticisms of the Albanian government, targeting both the nation's economic model and its national security integrity.
Regarding the economy, Tabaku claims that recent growth reported by INSTAT does not reflect the reality for citizens. She describes the current state as a “vicious circle” where the economy fails to produce or export, instead relying on increased taxes and administrative spending. Tabaku alleges that public funds are being diverted toward concessions, public-private partnerships (PPPs), and tenders that benefit a small group of individuals, characterizing the system as an “economy of the minority.”
On the issue of national security, Tabaku stated that recent scandals involving the SHISH (State Intelligence Service) have jeopardized Albania's standing with NATO. She claimed to have submitted 15 files to SPAK (Special Anti-Corruption Structure) regarding various government actions and institutional issues, asserting that the current political climate poses a risk to the country's future and security.
