Jorida Tabaku hosts World Economic Forum representatives in Albania
Jorida Tabaku, a Democratic Party deputy and chair of the Commission for Human Rights and Public Information, hosted 23 representatives from the World Economic Forum (WEF) Young Global Leaders community at the Albanian Parliament.
The meeting addressed Albania's development prospects, focusing on European integration, the economic and political climate, foreign investment, money laundering, and the impact of artificial intelligence. Tabaku expressed strong belief in Albania's human, economic, and natural potential but criticized the current governing system.
Tabaku argued that the existing model favors a minority and prevents the country from achieving functional democracy and competitive capitalism. She advocated for a transition to a majority-based economy where opportunities are determined by merit and competition rather than political connections.
