Jorlan Alves da Silva arrested in Brazil for suspected 80 murders

Authorities in Paraíba, Brazil, have arrested 33-year-old Jorlan Alves da Silva, a suspect who claims to have committed approximately 80 murders since the age of 13. Silva was apprehended while attempting to flee a police perimeter disguised as a woman, wearing a striped dress, a black wig, sunglasses, and sandals.

During the arrest, Silva was observed holding a two-year-old child; police are currently investigating the child's identity and the suspect's relationship to them. Investigators believe Silva may have been responsible for at least 15 killings on behalf of criminal organizations within the last three months alone.

If his claims are verified, Silva could become the most prolific serial killer in Brazilian history. During interrogation, he reportedly directed detectives to the location of a recent victim's body.
