José Alberto “El Canario” releases salsa tribute to Tito Rodríguez
Salsa singer José Alberto “El Canario” has released a new version of “Don Fulano,” a composition by the late Puerto Rican songwriter Catalino “Tite” Curet Alonso. Originally performed as a bolero by Tito Rodríguez, the new rendition is produced by Wilbert Taveras in a salsa big band format.
The track features backing vocals from Gilberto Santa Rosa and is the second promotional single from a tribute album dedicated to Tito Rodríguez. This project follows the success of “Tiemblas,” another Rodríguez classic included in the Latin GRAMMY-nominated album “Big Swing.”
The new version of “Don Fulano” is available in Dolby Atmos, utilizing a mix by engineer Irving Deschamps at Wildtone Music Studios to provide an immersive sonic experience.
