José Carlos da Silva Júnior centenary book released
A new book titled ‘Zé Carlos 100 Anos’ has been released to celebrate the centenary of businessman José Carlos da Silva Júnior, the founder of Grupo São Braz and Rede Paraíba de Comunicação.
Rather than a traditional biography, the publication serves as a collection of 18 portraits. These include biographical profiles and personal accounts written by family members, colleagues, historians, and journalists. Contributors include his children, Eduardo Carlos, Eliane Freire, and Ricardo Carlos, as well as figures such as Leonel Freire, who succeeded him at São Braz.
The book highlights his professional impact, including his two terms as president of the Brazilian Coffee Industry Association (ABIC), and his personal connections within the industry and politics. The book was launched in Campina Grande on Thursday and scheduled for a launch in João Pessoa on Friday.
