José Emilio Rodríguez joins UAE Team Emirates development squad

Mexican cyclist José Emilio Rodríguez will join the UAE Team Emirates Gen Z development team in 2027. The 18-year-old rider from Colima is transitioning from the AR Monex structure to the UAE organization, where compatriot Isaac del Toro currently competes on the main World Tour roster.

Rodríguez has demonstrated significant talent on the European circuit, including a victory at the Giro della Valdera and a sixth-place general classification finish at the Giro della Lunigiana in Italy. His recent performances also include second-place finishes at the GP West Bohemia and the Trofeo Emozione.

As part of the UAE Gen Z project, Rodríguez will join four other international prospects from France, Czechia, Italy, and Spain. The program is designed to prepare young riders for the transition to the professional sub-23 category and eventually the World Tour.
