José Luis Gayà reaches 350 LaLiga matches with Valencia CF

Valencia CF captain José Luis Gayà has reached a milestone of 350 LaLiga appearances. The left-back achieved this mark after starting in a scoreless draw against Athletic Club at Mestalla.

Gayà is now just one match away from equaling David Albelda, who holds the third-highest number of LaLiga appearances for the club with 351. In total, the defender has played 415 official matches for Valencia CF across all competitions, placing him seventh on the club’s all-time list for official appearances.

Reflecting on the match, Gayà noted that while the team improved significantly after halftime due to tactical adjustments, he felt the team missed opportunities to secure a victory. He also praised the support from the Mestalla crowd during the encounter.
