José Luiz Datena reports R$ 2.38 million decrease in assets

Journalist and PSB candidate José Luiz Datena reported a decrease in his assets to the Electoral Court. His declared wealth fell by approximately R$ 2.38 million over a two-year period, dropping from R$ 38.3 million in 2024 to R$ 35.9 million in 2026.

Datena’s declared assets include several properties, such as an apartment in Florianópolis and a house in Barueri, as well as various land plots in São Paulo, Ribeirão Preto, and Jundiaí. His filings also include bank deposits, fixed-income investments, a stake in JLD Publicidade, and private pension plans.

Following his 2024 run for the Mayor of São Paulo, where he received 1.84% of the votes, Datena is now campaigning for a seat as a federal deputy. His current political strategy involves leveraging his media popularity to strengthen the PSB caucus in the Chamber of Deputies.
