José María Aznar criticizes Pedro Sánchez's government at FAES campus

Former Spanish Prime Minister José María Aznar delivered a sharp critique of the current administration during the opening of the FAES annual campus in Madrid. Aznar characterized the government of Pedro Sánchez as being in a state of "political paralysis" and accused the executive of prioritizing propaganda over the management of essential public services, including railways, airports, and hydraulic infrastructure.

Aznar warned against "terminal sanchismo," arguing that the government's policies have led to a deterioration of the country's economic and institutional framework. He specifically criticized the government's approach to territorial issues, suggesting that policies of "appeasement" have contributed to the rise of radical movements in Catalonia and the Basque Country.

Furthermore, Aznar called for political unity and urged voters to support the Partido Popular (PP) to achieve a "political, economic, and institutional restoration." He also cautioned against extreme political reactions, advising that the goal should be to end current governance without replicating its methods in reverse.
