José María Fonseca to receive Paraugas de Honra award

The Clúster da Comunicación de Galicia has announced that José María Fonseca Moretón will be awarded the Paraugas de Honra Galicia Calidade 2026. The distinction recognizes his commitment to promoting creativity and design through the Terras Gauda International Poster Biennial — Francisco Mantecón Contest.

The award will be presented on November 13 at the Teatro Jofre in Ferrol during the gala for the eleventh edition of the Paraugas Awards. This recognition coincides with the 25th anniversary of the Biennial, an initiative Fonseca launched in 2001 to honor the artist Francisco Mantecón.

Over its history, the competition has collected 23,300 posters from creators representing 107 countries, connecting the Galician winery with international design professionals, studios, and educational centers.
