José Mota debuts as director with ‘Arriba Tutto’
Spanish comedian and actor José Mota is making his directorial debut with the film ‘Arriba Tutto’. The film, which is set in 1905, follows a character named Michi as he navigates life, humor, and a reunion with a childhood love.
A premiere event held at the Cines Callao in Madrid drew numerous high-profile attendees, including Infanta Elena, Álvaro de Marichalar, Santiago Segura, and former Prime Minister Felipe González. The film is scheduled for release on October 23.
In addition to his cinematic project, Mota is a co-owner of the medieval castle in Pedraza, alongside Santiago Segura and producer Luis Álvarez. The trio intends to rehabilitate the 13th-century fortress to transform it into a cultural space dedicated to performing arts and classical music, including concerts and festivals.
