José Mourinho refuses to alter Real Madrid tactics for Lamine Yamal

Real Madrid manager José Mourinho has stated that his team will not implement a specific tactical plan to neutralize Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal ahead of Sunday’s El Clásico at the Spotify Camp Nou.

During a pre-match press conference, Mourinho emphasized that while he respects Yamal’s quality, Real Madrid will not alter their team structure or principles for a single player. He noted that the squad is still in the early stages of building a new playing identity, following a period of disruption caused by international breaks and the return of players from the World Cup.

The upcoming La Liga clash comes at a critical time, with Real Madrid trailing Barcelona by six points. Real Madrid will be playing without the suspended Vinicius Junior, while Barcelona will be missing Dani Olmo due to injury. This match marks Mourinho’s first El Clásico as Real Madrid manager in thirteen years.
