José Ramírez hits 1,000th career single in Guardians win

José Ramírez achieved a major career milestone on Sunday, recording his 1,000th career single during the Cleveland Guardians' 11-1 victory over the Kansas City Royals. Ramírez, the 11th player in franchise history to reach the mark, also hit a two-run home run and drove in four total runs.

Cleveland's offense was bolstered by several key performances, including a four-hit game from Chase DeLauter and home runs from Nathaniel Lowe. Pitcher Parker Messick earned the win, striking out five and allowing only one run over six innings. The victory helps the Guardians maintain their position in the American League wild card race with a 69-68 record.
