José Roberto Arruda proposes restructuring Terracap

Former Governor José Roberto Arruda (PSD) has proposed restructuring Terracap as part of his campaign for the Distrito Federal. During a meeting with the Chamber of Dirigentes Lojistas (CDL-DF), Arruda suggested splitting the agency to create a new Rural Lands Institute. This new entity would focus on issuing deeds for rural properties to facilitate credit and investment for producers.

Arruda also criticized the current management of Terracap, describing it as acting like a real estate company rather than a development tool. He specifically noted that high prices for lots in Vicente Pires are making them inaccessible. Additionally, Arruda expressed concern regarding the stability of the Banco Regional de Brasília (BRB), questioning the bank's financial reporting and its ability to continue driving regional development.
