Jose Aldo targets professional boxing return in 2027
UFC Hall of Famer Jose Aldo has indicated a high probability of returning to professional boxing in 2027. The Brazilian fighter, who holds a 2-0-1 boxing record, noted that any return to the ring is contingent upon receiving permission from the UFC, as he still has three fights remaining on his current contract.
Aldo revealed that he has been in discussions with Spaten Fight Night officials regarding potential headlining opportunities. He expressed interest in the promotion due to the high level of athlete compensation, stating, “Boxing is much more possible for us to do, because I know I’m going to make a lot more money.”
While Aldo has previously retired from mixed martial arts twice, he remains active in the UFC. He indicated that his decision to accept future boxing bouts will be strictly driven by financial terms, noting that he will only compete if a specific pay threshold is met.
