Josefina Aguilar wins Ciudad de Churriana National Poetry Prize

Poet Josefina Aguilar Recuenco has won the fifth edition of the Ciudad de Churriana National Poetry Prize for her work ‘La eternidad menguante’, published by Pre-Textos. The jury, composed of poets Nieves Chillón, Marcos Díez, and Ada Salas, reached a unanimous decision, praising the work for its “strange and dazzling originality” and its ability to explore the limits of language through visual imagery and dense symbolism.

Aguilar Recuenco, a communication graduate from the University of Seville and a photography instructor, receives a prize of 3,000 euros. Additionally, the publishing house Pre-Textos was awarded 1,500 euros in recognition of its significant role in independent lyrical publishing, a distinction that coincides with the publisher's 50th anniversary.
