Josemauro Pinto Nunes sworn in as Federal Police Superintendent in Piauí

Josemauro Pinto Nunes has been sworn in as the new Regional Superintendent of the Federal Police (Polícia Federal) in Piauí. The ceremony took place on Thursday morning in Teresina.

The event was attended by several high-ranking officials, including the Director-General of the Federal Police, Andrei Rodrigues, as well as judicial and security leaders from the state of Piauí. During the ceremony, Rodrigues noted his long-standing professional history with Nunes, dating back 30 years to their time working together in the electoral justice system in Rio Grande do Sul.

To symbolize the transition of authority, Nunes received the Fundamental Principles of the Federal Police from the former substitute superintendent, Ezequias Martins da Silva. The new superintendent will be responsible for the planning, direction, coordination, and execution of the institution's activities within the state.
