Josep Escolà exhibition held at Ciutat de València
The Historical Heritage Area is hosting an exhibition at the Ciutat de València VIP box to coincide with the upcoming match between Levante UD and FC Barcelona. The exhibition honors Josep Escolà, a prominent former FC Barcelona attacker who played for the club from 1934 through the late 1940s, including a period of exile during the Civil War.
Following his professional playing career, Escolà transitioned into coaching and managed Levante UD starting in the summer of 1955. His tenure focused on a squad overhaul intended to secure promotion from the Third Division to the Second Division. While the project successfully led the team back to the 'Silver Category,' Escolà's time with the club ended abruptly in December due to illness.
