Spanish sports‑talk show host Josep Pedrerol is moving his programme "El Chiringuito" to Mediaset España. The show will debut from a new studio on 17 August, broadcasting Monday‑Thursday on the Energy channel and Sundays on Cuatro.

Pedrerol said the transfer involved about 70 staff members and will feature three new on‑air personalities, whose identities remain undisclosed. The revamped format will blend veteran journalists such as Matías Prats Jr. and Elena G. Durán with digital creators popular on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. Pedrerol described his decision as “love at first sight” after a lunch with Mediaset CEO Alessandro Salem, calling the move a historic shift for sports television.

The programme will retain its nightly debate style while aiming to attract younger audiences through the inclusion of social‑media influencers.
