Joseph Ezeokafor, Jezco Group Chairman, kidnapped in Anambra

Joseph Ezeokafor, the Chairman of Jezco Group and father of Jowizaza, was reportedly abducted in Anambra State approximately one week ago. The businessman was taken at around 2 a.m. while traveling to a prayer ground, having reportedly left his security detail behind.

Kidnappers initially demanded a ransom of N700 million, but the demand has since reportedly increased to N1.5 billion. While the family has expressed a willingness to negotiate, communication with the abductors has reportedly broken down.

Unconfirmed reports and rumors have circulated suggesting that Ezeokafor may have been released, but security agencies in Anambra State have not officially confirmed his release. Police operations are reportedly ongoing to track the criminal syndicate involved.
