Josephine Louise Maycher passes away in Penticton

Josephine Louise Maycher (Van Troyen) of Penticton, British Columbia, passed away at the age of ninety-two on July 25, 2026.

Originally from Fairview, Alberta, Maycher moved to Penticton in 1963 with her husband, Mario. Together, they operated Knights Pharmacy and White Clinic Pharmacy for 45 years in the Okanagan Valley.

She was an active member of the Penticton community, participating in the Penticton Yacht & Tennis Club, the Catholic Women’s League, and the Penticton Gun Club and Shooting Range. She also served as an aide at St. Joseph’s Elementary School.
