Josh Addo-Carr faces career uncertainty after alleged positive drug test

Parramatta Eels winger Josh Addo-Carr has allegedly tested positive for cocaine during a random police roadside drug test. This incident marks the second time the 31-year-old has been involved in a similar drug-related matter, following a previous incident in 2024 that led to his dismissal from the Canterbury Bulldogs.

The Parramatta Eels confirmed they are aware of the alleged incident and have notified the NRL Integrity Unit. The club stated it is cooperating with ongoing processes while providing welfare support to Addo-Carr and his family.

Addo-Carr’s management firm, Crown Sports International, released a statement noting that he is currently seeking professional support and is committed to prioritizing his health and wellbeing. With one year remaining on his contract, the incident places his NRL career in uncertainty.
