Josh Addo-Carr summoned to Parramatta Eels board meeting
Parramatta Eels winger Josh Addo-Carr has been summoned to meet with the club board on Monday to discuss his future. The meeting follows allegations that Addo-Carr tested positive for cocaine during a random police roadside test in September.
While the results of a second sample have not yet been released by police, the club is seeking to resolve the matter as players prepare for pre-season training. Addo-Carr, who has scored 27 tries for the Eels since joining last year, is expected to attend the meeting accompanied by his lawyer, Elias Tabchouri, and his agent, Marcel Tartak.
If a second test returns a positive result, Addo-Carr faces a 12-game suspension that would apply regardless of his club affiliation. This follows a previous incident during his time at Canterbury, which resulted in his dismissal. The Eels are reportedly considering contingency plans for player recruitment should his contract be terminated.
